How to share your work

Create a read-only link to a deck, report, web page or image. Set an expiry, add a password, choose whether viewers can download, or turn it off.

Last updated

Anything you create in Divrite can be shared with a link. People who open it see a read-only preview of the work. They don’t need a Divrite account.

  1. Open the work and click Share.
  2. Choose how long the link should work: 7 days, 30 days or Never (no expiry).
  3. Optionally, turn on Password. Divrite suggests one; you can change it. Anyone opening the link will need to enter it.
  4. Choose whether to Allow download. When it’s off, people can only view the work online.
  5. Click Create link.

Then click Copy link, or Copy link and password to copy both in one go, ready to paste into a message.

If you’ve made changes to a presentation, they’re saved before the link is created, so viewers see the latest version.

What viewers see

The link opens a read-only preview, similar to the issues in Hot topics. Viewers can page through the work and, if you allowed it, download it. They can’t edit it or see anything else in your account.

Change or stop sharing

To change the settings, create a new link with different options. To see and manage the links you’ve created, go to My shares. Once a link is turned off or expires, anyone who opens it sees a message that the link no longer works.

Deleting your account also turns off all your share links.

Before you share

Anyone who has the link (and the password, if you set one) can open the work. Don’t share links to work that contains confidential information unless you’ve protected it with a password and a short expiry.
