How to change one slide or part of an image

Regenerate a single slide from a short instruction, edit slide text directly, or box areas of an image and redraw only those parts.

Last updated

You don’t need to regenerate a whole deck or image to fix one part of it.

Change a single slide

  1. Open the deck and go to the slide you want to change.
  2. Click Edit this page.
  3. Describe the change, for example “turn this into a table” or “highlight the key number”.
  4. Divrite regenerates only that slide. The other slides stay exactly as they are.

To tidy a slide’s layout without changing its content, use Beautify this page.

Edit text directly

For small fixes such as a typo, a number or a title, click the text on the slide and edit it. The toolbar covers the basics: bold, italic, underline, text and background color, alignment, line height and lists.

Edit part of an image

  1. Open the image and choose to edit it.
  2. Drag a box around each area you want to change. You can draw several boxes.
  3. For each box, describe what it should become, for example “replace with a bar chart” or “make the title larger”.
  4. Optionally, add an overall instruction (such as “keep the original style”) and reference images for style or content.
  5. Click Generate new version.

Only the boxed areas are redrawn; everything else stays the same. If you don’t draw any boxes, the whole image is changed according to your overall instruction.

Each edit creates a new version. Earlier versions are kept, so you can go back if you prefer a previous one.

Credits

Regenerating a slide or editing an image uses credits, usually far fewer than creating from scratch. See How credits work.
