You can delete your Divrite account yourself from Settings. To protect you from mistakes, deletion takes two steps: you confirm by email, and then there’s a 7-day grace period before anything is permanently removed.
Before you start
- Download anything you want to keep. After the grace period, your works can’t be recovered.
- Cancel your subscription so you aren’t charged again. See How to cancel your subscription.
Delete your account
- Go to Settings → Account and click Delete account.
- Review what will be deleted and what we keep, then click Send confirmation email.
- Open the email we send to your sign-in address and click the link. The link is valid for a limited time; if it expires, start again from Settings.
- On the page that opens, click Yes, delete my account.
What happens next
As soon as you confirm:
- your account is disabled and you’re signed out;
- your share links stop working;
- your topic subscriptions stop running.
Your account is then permanently deleted after 7 days. The confirmation page shows the exact date.
Changed your mind?
Sign in with the same email at any point during the 7 days and choose Restore account. Your works, history and subscriptions will be just as you left them. After the 7 days, the account and its content can’t be recovered.
What gets deleted
- Your works: presentations, documents, web pages and images
- Your search and chat history
- Your topic subscriptions and their reports
- Links you’ve shared
- Files you’ve uploaded, and your avatar
What we keep
- Billing records that we’re required by law to keep
- Usage statistics with your identity removed
